Sub-Saharan Africa is one of the fastest growing economies in the world. Despite this positive development, population and health indicators testify to decades of investment backlogs in the health sector. In terms of health care for the population, there is a glaring lack of quality medicine in most countries of the continent. At the same time, demand from the growing middle-class population has increased rapidly. A key problem is the lack of quality-assured medical diagnostics for targeted treatment of acute conditions and long-term monitoring of chronic conditions.

Our mission is to invest in a modern diagnostic infrastructure together with our African and international partners.

Our vision is not only to become one of the most prominent diagnostic providers in Africa, but also to contribute to the education, training and employment of young and motivated professionals in the long term.

Health Focus Diagnostics was founded in 2021 as a spin-off from Health Focus GmbH. Following the successful establishment of a medical laboratory in Guinea in 2011 by Health Focus and its sale to private operators in 2019, the newly formed Health Focus Diagnostics is dedicated to identifying and developing new sites for medical diagnostics on the African continent.

Diagnostic services offered can include the full spectrum of medical laboratory diagnostics as well as imaging services. It may also integrate life-saving services such as dialysis or the establishing of blood banks. The selection of the scope of services is always based on extensive needs and comprehensive situation analyses.
